I just read about this poor sod from Dallas this morning. In my personal opinion I dont think $5 million is near enough.
MDs to pay for unkindest cut
DALLAS—An out-of-court settlement has been reached in the case of a Texas man who woke up from bladder surgery only to find that doctors had amputated his ***** without permission, lawyers said yesterday.
Terms of the out-of-court settlement were not disclosed but Hurshell Ralls, 67, had been seeking over $5 million (U.S.) in a civil suit he filed against the two doctors who removed his *****. They did not admit to any wrongdoing in the settlement.
Ralls' attorney Steve Briley said his client was having surgery in 1999 to remove a cancerous bladder. He contends that doctors removed Ralls' ***** after they mistakenly thought the cancer had spread to the organ.

No, but you are the one writing it!! You and every other insurance paying customer. The doctor's insurance company writes the check, his malpractice premiums go up, he raises the price of his services, finally, your medical insurance goes up. I'm not saying the amount of the settlement is right or wrong, some mistakes can never be compensated for. Just be aware that all lawsuit settlements are paid by the premiums of the common man, not some nameless, faceless insurance company.
If somebody amputed my bits, I would want considerably more than five million - I would like at least 1 pound of flesh from the moron that did it, and I would insist on it being a bit that don't see the light of day..

I quess that would make the comment that is said sometimes when you see a nasty female "I wouldn't **** her with your ****" kind of irrelevent.
sorry for the grammer but i kinda found that to be humorous.
The guy ios 67 years old, the thig probably didn't even work anymore. jeez. life is a **** sandwich, everyone has to take a bite. Obviously I don't agree with doctors just going and hacking wherever they please. They believed the cancer had spread. Do you think his family would have sued for more if the cancer had spread more and infected the cells of his penile tissue. I don't think he deserves anything. He should be thanking them for trying to save his life. The guy probably wouldn't survive many more operations.
