well i am not sure if i want the two 10s or not. I just bought an amplifier for my system and some other small things so the money is slowly coming to an end here. You measured it from the top of the rim right? then what would tire size matter?
Well you have a 4x4 and you probably have dual shocks and there were two different spring rates for the f-150s and ours are the weaker ones, 2700lbs i think
your right it makes no difference as far as tire height or profile I was thinking something else.
the fans are individual units I can maybe get a pic of them posted to give you an idea of what I am talking about in a day or so.
All you need to install them is two install kits from summit or jegs which only cost a couple of dollars and a thermostat which run around $20. The belt stays the same, if you look at the fan clutch you will see a large nut in the back it just screws off the water pump, take the fan shroud off mount the two fans to the radiator then run wires to the battery and thermostat. If you can hook up a speaker which without a doubt you can that is how easy it is to hook it up. Honestly thought these things run so cool that unless you do a lot of slow in town driving it probably will never kick on, I have heard mine once. I does require a special set of tools to take the clutch fan off the water pump but if your uncle has a shop then he should know what You are talking about or any shop would probably do it for nothing not a big deal at all.
What kinda amp ya get, I used to be into car audio somewhat a while back?
Well i am trying to get this kenwood 200 watt mono amp for my subwoofer but it doesnt look like its going to happen. It is 250 reg price and this guy on ebay has it for 130 new but he only has 11 feedback and looks like he might try to rip me off.

What kinda wattage does the sub require?
If you have heard this then ignore it, but get an amp that provides a greater amount of watts than what is required then you can adjust the gain and get a better sound from the sub. Kenwood are good amps I have had good experiences from them, sony are very good as far as price and power. I had a 100 X 2, 300 X 1 sony amp bridged on a 4 ohm 15" comp kicker and it was very deep, the amp claimed 560 max watts bridged and I would say that was about right. Coustic are very good as well or at least from my experience. Good luck with ebay
The 10 inch sub i have is from boston accustics...it is rated at 850watts rms so i was going to run about 300 for a moderate wattage. I got the sub off my friend who had two of them running on a 400 sherwood amp and it pounded so i figured that 300 is almost twice as much wattage as he had going to them. I think i might just get the amp in the store...i dont want to risk it. Comes with a one year warrantee and it's 260 bucks. It's going to be put on the back burner i think until after christmas. I am getting 600 dollars soon from a trip we canceled to europe so hopefully that money will be put to a pair of air bag helpers for the rear end.
I’ve got a small question.
I took a look at your gallery, and the picture of the rear frame rail with the Bill Hurst miracle paint, were did you get that stuff and how much did it cost?
I live up here in Wisconsin, were they excessively over salt the roads in winter, my truck looks like the underside was sprayed with rust, and my radiator supports are just about rusted through.
I just want to stop the progression.
BTW the lift looks great. GOOD JOB!
Got it from Hirch Automotive...www.hirshauto.com It is a perminant cure for rust when applied properly. It was a lot of work for me but i figured it is easier to save it now. It is a 85 bucks a gallion i think. It cures like a rock, hard to scratch, and is the only paint that even DOT 3 brake fluid won't touch. When I changed my brake lines to new longer ones, I got fluid all over the paint and nothing happened. They put it through a 560 hour salt test..more salt then any car is suseptable to and it was untouched.
I like it, looks real nice. Has the feeling of riding high wore off yet. I may just consider the old lift after all it looks real good as mentioned before. Ya got a nice looking truck.
What kinda under carriage paint did you use. I am going to jump in there and do that myself one of these days, as soon as I am satisfied with a product to use. What kinda paint did you use on the differential cover it looked like chrome? Nice job
The black undercarage paint i used was from Hirsh automotive that i mentioned in the previous post to madman. The differencial cover is my own personal touch of chrome spray paint hehe. I've done a lot of painting under my truck, i got rid of all the surface rust with a wire brush attachment, wasnt bad at all except after the rear axle, and i painted the whole bottom of the truck, axle, frame, body, suspension, everything by hand. It can be sprayed though. And yes my tires do look small but i decided to go with 33s in the summer. The ram air is being painted at my uncle's who is taking his sweet time on it, but i can't complain becasue he is doing it for free.
Weird, when I read the posts yesterday the one from yourself and madman were not there yet today they were hmmmmm interesting.
Would have to say that a free paint job would be the best kind. Is the hirshauto paint you used a one step paint or does it require a couple of steps/ did it mention weather or not it would fade? Later
