yeah i just put those clear corner lights on last week, looks alil burry in the picture like its one big light but it looks awesome in person. It gives it a kinda cold look and blends with the chrome grill and bumper better, i think. Got them off a guy on ebay for 35 bucks, he sells lots of them so if ur interested hit him up. Just do a search for 92-96 clear corner lights. My uncle has a body shop and hes letting me keep the truck in there while i work on it, so i can put in nights and be nice and warm (aweeeesome) and use all his tools. I should start it next week, hockey just started up and its getting busy with school. Can't wait till i get the lift in :-)

I just started the lift today, for the two hours i worked on it i got one of the old radius arm brackets off and the new one on, and i got one of the shocks off. I am going to try to get the axle pivot bolts off but it is going to have to be torched because its just too tight. Should be done in a couple days and the ram air should be on next week.

There is nothing like wrestling with a stubborn bolt or worse a broken one. Never fails does it? A 30 minute job always turns into an hour+ spent on a single bolt that just won't move or snaps off. What is even funnier is that after spending 2hrs trying to pry this and get that off it usually takes about 5 minutes to put it back together??????? Having fun yet????? again good luck

Well, i'm about 1/2 way done. I should be done tomorrow or thursday by the lastest. All i have left to do is drill 2 holes for the drivers side axle pivot bracket, install the passanger side axle bracket, put the coils on, shocks and i'm done. So far its going in pretty sweet. I think they only trouble i will have is getting the bolt that holds the bottom retainer to the coil and the radius arm to the i-beam off, its pretty tight but we'll see how it goes. Can't wait till it is done.

Happy to hear it is coming together nicely. Do you have a home page or gallery here so when you get it done or update it further I can see what that thing looks like? In case you haven't figured it out I am seeing what looks good on your truck so I can decide what would look good on mine in the future. Hope ya don't mind. With the lift, larger tires, new hood and clear corners its gonna look like a whole new truck.

I havn't figured out that homepage thing but i guess i can just put the pictures here. My TFI coil just came and I will probably put that on, its so nice and easy. I ordered the coil and the 6a box and wiring. I'll be excited when i get it back on the road again. By monday i'm hoping it will be all set. I got some new cheap rims to run my snow tires on so it will look even more different. Gonna go install my coil now..later.

Update time, lift is just about done. I have to install one shock, drill 4 holes, and check to make sure everything is nice and tight. The only part of this whole kit that is giving me trouble is getting the old pitman arm off. I went to sears and got the biggest puller they had but it still wouldn't come off. I am going to my uncles shop to borrow a bigger puller. If that doesn't work i'm dragging out the grinder with a cutting disk and cut that sucker off. So far in looking, its alil more then 4 inches of lift, i'm leaning more to 5. It looks like the front will be dead even with the back, which isnt exactly what i wanted so its not sagging when i put a load in the back but i guess thats just an excuse to buy some air bags ha. My rig will be back on the road tomorrow and i'll take some pictures for you.

All else fails cut it off!!! ha ha What kinda rims did ya get? The idea of snow may not be too far off as we are expecting some snow flurries down here.......well at least that is waht they are saying, who knows. Doesn't it just eat away at ya knowing your truck is almost done yet not? That is a problem I have I am not very patient once I get started, so when things arise like what you have encountered it just drives me nuts. ha ha

THE LIFT KIT IS DONE! My alignment is out of whack and needs to be fixed but other then that it drives well. My only thing is that it seems to be lifted more then 4 inches, maybe 5, and the front is actually about 3/4 of an inch higher then the back. Hopefully it will settle out once i get some miles on it. Oh, and the superlift shocks SUCK, do not get them. So far so good though i'll get some pictures tomorrow. The MSD came today as well, i might put that in tonight. The only question i have is spark plug gaps and if i have the right plug wires. It says it needs wires that are not solid core and i dont know if i have it or not. Other then that its ready to go. Time to relax for a little bit, i've been workin my ##### off the last couple days heh..

Does the ride seem softer with the lift as I imagine it would as 4X4's do I would imagine a two wheel would feel a little more bouncy?? Feel like your up in the clouds? ha ha Sounds like the hard part is over, I believe it is for some reason common to see the front just a little higher when a lift is installed, who knows, if I am not mistaken I think new plug wires are needed.

Well, I did have 4 wheels and tires in the back of my truck with a couple bags of hockey equipment when i measured, but i took everything out and when the bed is empty they are dead even. I measured from the top of the rim to the fender and get 15 inches on each one. Mind measuring urs and seeing what you get so i can make a comparison? The new coils are about 3 inches taller and much thicker. The ride is a little stiffer, not softer, you can't get much softer then what i had so i'm happy, i kind of wanted it to be a little stiffer. I'm going to get some plug wires and install the MSD soon.

The msd boxes are nice.

Well I got off my lazy a** an measured that for you. Keep in mind both tanks were full as off today/ time I measured. Here is what I came up with:

front drivers side: 10 1/4"
rear drivers side (remember both tanks full): 12 1/2"
passenger side rear: 13"

Something else to consider is I have 275 60 15 tires they are a little wider and thinner profile wise than stock, not too much of a difference height wise, mayber an inch or less shorter than stock.

Good to hear you like the ride quality otherwise you would be out of luck or have to do some getting used to it.

Man, I am interested to see what the hood with the lift and tires are gonna look like on your truck.

Can't get ya interested in the two 10" electric fans with thermostat?
They are in real good shape and would make a definite difference in how your truck performs at least it made a noticable difference when I took my old clutch fan off. Oh well good to hear everything is coming together, good luck

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-Dec-01 AT 11:59 PM (EST)]Hey mustang, I went out and measured the height of my truck just for the heck of it, and wasn’t even thinking about posting a message, but when I measured the height from the top of the rim to the fender, and this is odd, I got 14 ¼, inches. I have a bed liner, tonneau cover and a full tank of gas. This really is weird I have no lift, and my suspension it totally stock. Oh and the front is 13 ¼, but I have new coils in the front.

Any one else’s this high.
