I guess I'll ask the obvious, since noone else has.
WHY?
You're ruining your tires, you don't have positive control of the vehicle, and it's probably not real good for the brakes either. Or the clutch if you have a manual. Plus it stinks. And it's considered reckless driving.
Thats true. But I still want to know how to do it. I have crappy tires anyways. I just want to know how to do it, I will probly not do it but if someone asks I can tell them.
You will be even more of an idiot when you tell dad what you to break that transfer case. The 205 is a very strong transfer case, but that one already doesn't shift very well, I think somebody may have already played with it. The C6 is strong enough to take a few powershifts, but I have already had my fun with it.
Its also a tad harder with a manual (like my chevy has). What I have to do to get one going is: have clutch in all the way and in 1st, then have heel of right foot push down on brake pedal a tad and use toe of right foot push down gas pedal to get to about 4000. THen I dump the clutch, and quick move the left foot onto the brake and mash the gas pedal with my right foot.
i tried the blech thing on my 82 honda 500 motorcycle, i would burnout then stop porr a lil bleach mixed with dish soap on the tire and then hold the front brake and put it in 2nd, hold the clutch in rev it up to about 6 grand and let it loose, hold the throttle wide open at 8 grand and watch the white smoke fly, thats the most smoke ive ever seen and it was quie a show to the golfers on the golf course beside my house, although it wears the tire down very quickly.
Here in eastern Iowa we have plenty of hills...There is one in the town i grew up on known as burnout hill, alot think its because all the pot smokers puff up at the park on top of the hill, but us motor heads knew it was because of the awsume burnouts you could get from it....
I had a 72 chevy nova fastback with 350 rocket, come to a stop about 100 feet from the bottom let of the brake and the car would roll back even in drive and just punch the gas... I cant even count the number of tires i blew out on that hill and the smoke!!! woooo hoooo we had the fire dept there sooo many times because the people that lived on the bottom of the hill thought the pot heads started something else on fire
to bad it wasnt a ford, tonight iw as cruising town with some friends and the guy was riding with has a 1997 ford ranger with a 4 cylinder, 5 speed, anyway we were in a parking lot, "concrete" and he put it in first got it going about 5-10 mph and dropped it in reverse and floored it and it went forwrd for about 10 feet with the tires in reverse and the white smoke was rolling, to bad we got pulled over 5 mins later cz someone called the cops but he did let us off with a warning.
