Help please?
I have a 2008 f350, 6.4 diesel ordered and bought new.
Can someone here please tell me if the parking brake dust covers rusting out will make this truck sound like the bearings on the turbos are going?
My (albeit limited) understanding of how brakes work is they either seize or they don't? I never heard of something rusting out then seizing and unseizing? Plus if the parking brakes were seizing enough to put any pressure on the engine wouldn't i be able to feel them and smell them? Besides which isnt there a light on the dash that the parking brakes are on?
I took this truck to a new mechanic. He said those turbos look original and it sounds like the turbos went. There were two other adults with me in this truck. The noise was coming from the middle of the front truck engine compartment. Right in front of driver. The noise only happened when the truck hit certain speeds or if i stepped on the gas hard.
Needless to say there is more depth to this story. This is the latest in a long line of bs stories i have been fed. Just i think the most egregious.

Ok so help to post to correct forum now?
How do i do that? Can u help with link to instructions? Never used this forum before.
