LED upgrade back feeding voltage?

I have a 95 Bronco. I bought 3157 LED bulbs for my rear to finish off all bulbs to LED (interior and exterior). I noticed my license plate lights flash also my ash tray flashes with my turn signal and same when I turn on my hazards. I installed load resistors on my turning wires in the back. Do I need to put load resistors on the front turn signal wires also?

If this happened right after you swapped bulbs I would check the bulbs and make sure they are in the sockets correctly, and make sure you wired the correct wires to the resistors. Your resistors should go from the turn/brake wires to the ground wire, not the other hot wire going to the socket for the marker lights. That sounds like what you did, putting one end of the resistor on the turn/brake wire, and the other end on the marker light wire instead of the ground wire.

If the flasher works correctly, then you do not need to install any more resistors. That's all they are for, to load down the circuit so the flasher works properly. They also can help with problems with the cruise control and abs systems when LED lights are used.

I'll check the bulbs tomorrow the weather supposed to be nice out. I have my resistors wired on the turn signal wire (checked with the 12v tester) and grounded with and eye to the quarter panel same on both sides. Unless that's a wrong way to do it.

That wiring method should be ok. If everything was ok until you did your modifications, keeping looking in your modification area.

Put the regular bulbs back in. See if the problem goes away then.

l just got back from the Auto store bought some silverstars put them in and everything is OK. Still going to look around on the internet but not on a top list unless I find something. The front's are amber LED and work fine. Thanks for the input. There's a will, there's a way.

I have got my brake LEDs to work for the time being. I put a 912 regular bulb in my ash tray to take up the voltage and the problem went away.

It's interesting how much stray voltage runs around these circuits, but you don't know about it with the older type bulbs.
