Where have you guys gotten your windshield seals that accept custom cab trim?
Have you had any experience of them leaking?
My trucks original windshield was broken before it was on the road. When getting the new windshield, they told me they no longer are willing to install the seal version that accepts the custom cab trim due to customer complaints from leaks.
My new trimless seal has wept gross black stains on my paint since new--see picture.(this will not be acceptable on a new paint job) ...While my perfectly good looking trim is sitting in storage.
The trim because it is in the rubber doesn't always allow the rubber to lay all the way flat. Trim that has been straightened may not retain the original contours thus leaks occur
Even when it looks ok they tend to leak. It's not like it floods in the truck, just a little wet.
Thank you for breaking it down for me and for the info. So is there any way to ensure no leak whatsoever? I really just don't want to deal with any leak if possible.

Thanks again fellas.
100% only way to prevent leaks with trim is to never let it get wet
