Bed side rust opinions
Hey everyone,
I have a 2002 7.3L PS. It would up with some bed side rust a few years back when my brother owned it, so he had someone "fix it". I am not real sure what the guy did or didn't do but it is now bad again so I am wondering what my options are.
From what my brother tells me it is a pretty pricey fix and it might be cheaper to just buy a new bed. I figure with my truck being white, there has to be a place that sells Service Truck Beds that get taken off when they put a flatbed on it or something.
Anyone have any other options?

The other questions are these:
How bad is the rust on the rest of the truck?
How handy are you - can you do this yourself?
How long do you plan to keep the truck and/or how much do you love it?
Where do you live - if all local truck beds are rusty, you'll spend a lot getting a western-US bed to your area.

The rust on the rest of the truck is being repaired right now. I had bought some fender flares hoping to kind of cover up the rust and buy myself a couple years to track down a new bed. But no luck. I would have to get some pretty large flares and that just really isn't my style. I don't really want them at all.
I would under-take this myself, if I had a proper shop. I am over-seas right now and only have a barn at home currently. No "shop" yet to do any proper work.
I just finished paying the truck off a few months ago. She is going to be mine until she doesn't run anymore, and then again when I revive her and drive her till she is dead again.
I live in Indiana so rust is a pretty common thing. Just going through and fixing up some deficiencies that I have been draggin my feet on.
