Wheels and tires question

Not sure if it was right but........I have run 33x12.50x15 tires on 8" rims........It never seemed to cause any issues......I liked the way the tire bulge protected the edge of the wheel.....But that was a LONG time ago.....Dunno if the tire shops would even do it anymore with the way liability laws are anymore.......

When I was shopping for wheels and 35x12.5x16 tires, the specs on the KO2's I bought said to mount on a 9" wheel. I ended up going with a 10" wheel because a 9" just seemed too narrow. Now part of me wishes I had gone with a 9" wheel, but not enough to switch them out. I guess I prefer a little bit of the "ballooned" look, rather than when they look like they were stretched out to fit the rim.
Here's a couple of pics of my 35x12.5's on a 16x10 rim, but they don't really show what I'm talking about:

Run the 17x9 and 12.50 tire.
It's fine.
I towed almost 9k lbs on that deal in 37" form and hauled over 2 tons. Seriously...it's fine.
Also it's the perfect width and in 5" BS form it puts the tire at the fender edge in d44 trucks. 10" will push it out past the fender or in to the point it will prob rub at full lock.
