Trailer Tow Technology Bundle

Anybody have the trailer tow tech bundle? Is it worth the extra $1k? I'm interested in the 360 camera with the ability to see super wide coming out of alleys but it's not a very popular package at my local dealers for Lariats.

Worth every penny! The 360 gives you total awareness of where the truck is in relation to all those things your trying to avoid in tight parking spots, drive-throughs, pulling the 5th wheel in and out of a site etc. The CHMSL makes hooking up the 5th wheel a snap.

It's a must-have on any future truck!!

It works perfectly for parking, 360 view helps a lot to perfect parking without hitting anything

Worth every penny even if you don't tow often. The 360 view makes a world of difference when parking.

I went with the cheaper "Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System" which is about a $700 option. It gives you the 360 camera, CHMSL camera without having to get the lane keeping alert system.

It may be just me, but I thought that feature would drive me crazy, and would constantly be turning it off every time I started the truck.

Just my $.02

That is what our truck has. The tech package is only available on the Lariat and up.

Bringing up an old thread.

I'm debating getting the tow tech bundle vs. the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera + Adaptive steering

On a Lariat Ultimate, 2018 pricing looks like:
Ultimate Trailer ($710) + adaptive steering (1000) = $1710
Tow Tech bundle = $1970

Best I can tell on a Lariat ultimate, the only difference is you get the lane keeping alert with the Tow Tech bundle. Is Lane keeping worth it for $260?

I did exactly what you are talking about. Already had the automatic high beam and rain sensing wipers in Lariat Ultimate so decided I'd save a few bucks and get them separate. I can deal with no lane keeping alert. Been without it for 40 years of driving.

I had lane keeping on my GMC and didn’t care for it. It was sensitive and constantly going off, so I mostly just ignored it. I went with the 700 option and added adaptive cruise.

I have lane departure, and keep it off. I LOVE all the other features.

Most of the time the lane departure warning is annoying and I shut it off.
But after driving 10 hours in a day it is nice to have some help staying in the lane the last few miles.

Auto high beams and auto wipers that also come in the tow tech bundle are very nice.

I'm glad I got the tow technology option and would do it again.

Lane departure can be useful when you're driving a dually.

It was raining today and I really appreciated the rain sensitive variable speed wipers.

The parking cameras and beepers are also very helpful with such a big truck.
