My next carburetor experiment

I found this cool predator carburetor. My uncle used to run them when I was younger. I always wanted one. So when this one came up on craigslist I jumped on it. I am going to put it on my 390 . Just to try and see what it will do. I know it's not a economy carburetor but is a 390 going to care. I just wanna see what the variable cfm does. Eventually I will put it on my 53 Chevy pickup with a stroker small block.but I'm afraid of not having a way of hooking up my kick down rod for my c6. I don't wanna burn the transmission up not having the kick down hooked up. So unless have to get a bell crank of some sort to hook it up. Needs some cleaning but still cool looking

As long as the kickdown is not engaged, it won't hurt the transmission to not have/use the lever. Just remove it.

However, not having the kickdown might change your shift points, especially under load

At least that's what a local shop told me. They seem to be a good place...

It's gonna run like crap because there is little, if any, transition circuit.
