I've wanted to do the same and just figured it would have to be paint. I never considered vinyl wrap. Can you expand a little more on what's involved? Are you skilled at vinyl wrapping or is this your first go at it?

Sure, no problem.
1. Buy a good wrap, 3M 1080 is excellent. You will need a piece 36X24"
2. Buy a small bottle of adhesion promotor, cutting tool and squeegee.
3. Get the wifes/GF hair dryer out.
First steps, put a piece of tape down where you want the wrap to land. I used some masking tape to define the area.
I removed the door panels just so I could make life easy. Also to be able to pull the rubber down away from the frame so the wrap went under.
Pull the rubber away, clean the area, rubbing alcohol will work.Put some of the adhesion promoter around the back of the door frame if you want to go around the backside/edge. Also
I used 4 pieces 9X24.
Most of the time was spent cleaning and prepping. In reality it only took about 5 minutes per panel to do.
Also pretty hard to mess up such a small piece. You will need to use SOME heat to mold it into the frame area.
If you take your time its actually pretty easy to do.
