need help with mirror wiring harness

My dads 01 excursion came stock with paddle mirrors. i'm putting new mirrors on my excursion, so i took my tow mirrors and and put them on his truck. but for some reason, the passenger harness doesn't match up. i'm not sure what my truck came stock with, but clearly someone crimped a different end on, who knows why.

anyways, i have the single rectangular end that i can cut off of his old paddle mirror, but the wire colors are different. can anyone help me as to which color wires from the tow mirror need to be connected to which color wires from his original paddle mirror harness end?

the gray connector is the stock paddle mirror, and is the one that i need to splice onto the tow mirror so it'll plug into his truck. his has just the single plug, not the 2 round plugs like what is on the tow mirror now.

i can get better pics of the wire colors if needed.

thanks to anyone that can help, i have everything installed except his passenger door panel. wanting to splice this plug on so i can button everything back up and get the panel back on.

Hold on!! Don't cut anything yet!

I might have the pigtail conversion to send you to go from the round plug to the rectangular. When I bought my mirrors they came with the wiring adapter that should adapt the round plug to the rectangle.

I didn't need it as mine was a later model year, but I might still have them. No guarantees, but I will look. If not, someone else may have them. Also you may be able to get them from 1a auto.

let me look. Hopefully someone can confirm my thinking here....

if you have that and you're not using it, i would greatly appreciate it!

i'm in no rush, at least the mirror is on and i manually adjusted the glass so i can drive it, although it's not a daily and isn't getting driven much right now.

None of the wiring how-to's will help you figure out what's what?

I just got home and went down to the garage to rummage around to see if I could find where I put them. Wouldn't you know it, they were right where I thought they would be!

Take a look at the photo and let me know if you think they will help you out. If so, send me your address and I will get them out to you on Monday if I remember to take them to work. The mirrors that i bought have power adjust, turn signals and heat.

sorry had some issues come up and havent been back on here for a couple days and forgot to reply. i think they may work, but what do you think...check out my pictures of my harness. i have only 1 square plug, yours is 2 with the wires split between the 2. idk why mine is only one, or would i only need 1 of yours? how much do you want for them, or just shipping? let me know, worth a try and if they don't work, ill just throw them in the pile of spare SD/Excursion parts i have haha.

Is it possible to have two plugs one for the heating element and one for the lights? Wasn't sure but figured I give it a thought.

The white plug is for the power mirror feature. The smaller black plug is for the defrost feature.

Well I guess I was half correct, to a plug for heater element. I didn't think of the power mirrors part.

Let me know when you figure it out and I can get them to you if you can use them.

Not really interested in shipping them out to you if they are "just going to sit on top of the Excursion parts pile". I might as well keep them in case I or someone else actually has a need for them if that is the case.
