My zxe's lasted 2 months! Just check the reviews on them, known for failure, unless they changed something in the last year or so...
I wasn't aware. Installed a set in the wife's car last spring. So far, good. I have also had very good results with the silverstar bulbs prior to these that were good for about 5- 6 years in 2 different cars.
Silverstars were never really a problem for me I think the last truck I sold still had them in there as well as my little commuter car. The ZXE's though I went thru like 3 sets in 4 months..Finally got Phillips to replace them and sold them straight away on CL. One actually failed so badly that the glass exploded!
I have some..while bright and great in the dark they seem to wash out to me with oncoming traffic. That's why I want to try the HID's and see if its any better.

Had some retrofit HID's in my F250 before the Excursion. I don't know if it's a height thing (it was on a 10" and 40's) or what, but they all but disappeared in oncoming traffic lights as well. My STi and G35 didn't really have the same problem, but those headlights were maybe 18" off the ground....
Well I am nowhere near that height! Still the LED's seem to put out a lot of bright light but maybe not all useable. I noticed that it lights up the signs from a pretty good distance- reflection, but they do not actually light up the area, now that is usually a pretty good ways off and if it did light up that far I would probably get flashed all the time. I was hoping the HID retro's would fix that but it appears it may not, and that is a lot of money for an experiment!!
