My AA auto loads google maps, I wish it worked like car play, they need to really work on that app. There are very few apps that work with AA and I think they are all music apps. Oh and my AA lost my phone, cant find it when plugged in, I think it is a phone issue as it will still work with my wifes, same phone as I have.

I've been using AA since day one with my SD. Took a little bit of getting used to after a couple years with the MFT system, but I have not major complaints with it.

I use CarPlay and now have mine reading texts, texting via Bluetooth, and telling me when I have new texts. I can also use MAps on my idle ice to vpnavigate without using the built in Nav.

Mine keeps saying it does not have a phone number for the person that just texted me and i can't reply is there something i need to do?

make sure to allow sync to download contacts, may have to un pair and repair for it to sak again.

No, it can't. Waze is supposedly working on it though.

Ahhh, nice. Hope it's soon. I'd rather use Waze unless in Mtns, then I need a preloaded tiles map like co-pilot.

Waze does not have a supported app for Apple CarPlay. Wish it did. Hope that they come out with one for Android and Apple.

Wait what?! Your truck reads texts via apple CarPlay without plugging in? This is sorcery.

When I run Google Maps on Sync 3 via Android Auto, it pulls in some data from Waze.

Yes, Google bought Waze time ago and supposed to work independently but Google pull out data from it like traffic, accidents and others

If you open Android Auto and hit the three bars (menu icon) at the upper left the popup menu has an item for "Apps for Android Auto". It takes you to the Google Play store and it looks like it has apps that specifically work with Android Auto.
