Hey guys - Have a 2015 F-150 and decided to order some LED brake/turn lights from F150LED's. Expensive little suckers but they are nice. After I re-installed everything they worked but later that day they died.
I checked the new LED bulbs and provided wire harness on a seperate power supply - both good. The brake/tail/turn sockets are dead and have no voltage. My license plate lights are on either now.. Front of the truck is perfect and normal. The third brake light on the cab still works and an LED brake strip under the tail gate which plugs into the trailer port still works.
I checked all the fuses in both the engine compartment and under pass dash - all seem good. I do have one 10 amp fuse that is good but has no voltage going to it....
Has anyone experienced this problem and know how to fix it?? I'd really appreciate any help you can lend me..
Thank you - I looked at the diagram in the manual to ID that fuse and think it said BRAKE but I will double check in morning again, and will crawl under to see if I may have yanked a connector apart by accident. Thanks for the ideas and incouragment.
Looking at the fuse box pic, the right side is toward the rear of the truck. I believe it was either the top or bottom red 10 amp fuse on the right side. Either the 8th or 9th one up. Not sure what its function is according to the manual..
Its Fixed!!!! Took the truck to a local LED / HID install shop and found a genius tech who was able to determine that the "plug & play" plug was not confiqured properly thus blew a fuse and caused the main computer to drop a code. The tech re-set the computer and corrected the pins and now all is well. Thank you everyone for the advise and help..
