Question Lifting/tires

Question,

I have a stock F350 PSD SRW crew cab. What is the largest size tires I can get away with, without lifting the truck? At the present time, I have 305/70/r16's. This is a 33inch diameter tire that are 10.3 inches wide. I am wondering if I can fit 33in/11.5 or 12.5/ 16, or even 35in/11.5 or 12.5/16, without lifting. Will the tires be too wide, or what?

Thanks

Hello,

Best I can tell, you have to have a girl's name or be a senior user to get a reply to a post on this forum. Good luck.

Are you running stock rims or aftermarket??

If your tires are 305/70R16s (this size is called the equivalent of a 33/12.5R16) they are 12.008" wide........probably with a 10.3" tread width.

I have seen a truck with the 315/75R16 Goodyear MT/Rs mounted on the stock 16x7 stock rims. IMO the rims are too narrow for those tire. Your handling will be affected somewhat on long sweeping turns on the highway or off ramps. Also, you will rub on the leaf springs and on the inner plastic fender.

Hope this helps.

you can fit 315/75/16's with a leveling kit. it bumps the front suspension level with the rear. and you can use your stock wheels.

thanks, the leveling kit seems to be the best option.
