Does anyone know for sure if a F-350 SB CC 6.7 SRW built before 2/20, Week of 2/6 hopefully ,will have a 2.5 or 3.00 in hitch, would like to go ahead and purchase a weigh safe hitch but not sure what to buy.

It will have 3 sizes. 2" and 2 1/2" are sleeves the insert into the 3" hitch.
BigStu....I don't think he's asking what it comes with...I believe he already knows. What he's asking is WILL his truck have the 3" due to the changes in the order guide that have been discussed on here. They appear to have made some changes as to what trucks do and don't get the 3". Most know how the 3" comes....just not if they will get it now.
I don't know why they would change the shaft/hitch size on an F350. The tow rating has not changed and the 3" shaft with the adaptors or sleeves are included.
Yes...but there have been reports that NO F250s get the 3" any longer....even the 250 HD....and ONLY long bed 350 SRW diesels....gets the 3"...no longer the shorty. I think that's why he's asking. I could be wrong with the above...but the guide was showing some changes for sure.

yes, that is what I'm asking, saw here in a thread, order guide published aprox 1/5 stated F-350 SB 6.7 SRW CC would no longer be equipped with 3.00 in hitch, for job 2 build was wondering if they may have already made the change
It is still up in the air at this point. I was told the day the revised order guide hit the ground (1-5-17) that the change went into effect. I saw a truck at a dealer in town that had a 1-17 build date with the 3" hitch. This was two weeks ago. Truck went from built at KTP to Ga in record time.

F-350 with the diesel should have the 3". I don't know why Ford would put anything smaller in that truck except that it's a short bed. My long bed had the 3".
Ford's stance was to bring the short bed truck's capacity in line with parts. The SB truck's conventional tow rating is 15k compared to the longbeds 18k.
Is this unfortunate change regardless of gas or diesel? This 3" feature was one of my main reasons for choosing this truck.
Not sure if gas ever came with the 3" hitch. Would have to have been a DRW 6.2. If you are getting a long bed 350 SRW diesel or long bed 250 with high capacity tow, you will still get the 3".
Yep....you are correct...so the reason he has a 3" on his HD short bed because it's a job 1. According to the new guide...only LONG bed F250s with HD pkg will get the 3". Is that true?
