8" Productivity Display

I already have my truck so the point of this question for me is fairly moot, however, the brochure indicates that the 8" Productivity display is available with a certain package on the XLT trim level and standard on Lariet+. I have the 4.2 inch non-configurable display and the XLT Premium package. On what package is that display included?

You needed the "driver assistance" package on XLT which has since been downgraded or no longer offered. It included the 8" cluster display and things like rain sensing wipers and auto high beams.

As usual, troverman is spot-on.

I was also excited that the Driver Assistance Package appeared to be available on the XLT, and subsequently bummed when the build guide changed. Ram's Price and Build website is notoriously horrible, but the obvious and blatant inaccuracies of Ford's B&P is making Ram's site look golden. While the B&P is fun to tool around with, I've gone to simply relying only on the actual Build Guide.

Edit: Looking at another thread here, it appears the B&P is experiencing some updates. Gonna go check for myself.

Edit2: Nope. XLT B&P is still jacked up.

Honestly, I was a little disappointed about this as well. Of course I also already have my XLT, but this is the screen shot on Ford.com. I have this package, but do not have this instrument panel.

Based on the description, I believe what was delivered was correct. The picture, however, is incorrect.

I just ordered a new F350 XLT with the optional XLT Premium Package. My take is that my truck will be delivered with a 4.2" "Productivity" screen in the gauge cluster between the speedo and tach (in place of standard 2.3" version in the XL), and an 8" touchscreen in the "center stack" (entertainment, etc.) in place of the standard 4.2". I hope I'm right!

I suspect the 4.2" productivity display vs. the 4.2" center stack display may be causing some corn-fuzion. It certainly did for me!

My 2017 SD brochure indicates the 8" productivity display is standard on the Lariat, KW, and Platinum. The brochure also indicates the 8" productivity display is part of an option package for the XLT, but I can't figure out which.

HTH,
Jim / SDcrewzer

Interesting thing I noticed. My 2017 XLT with the Premium Package came with heated front seats. I don't see that as part of the package anymore, I wonder if that is a job 2 change?

My brochure indicates that heated front seats are included in the XLT Premium Package. They're also listed on my order confirmation.

Fingers crossed!

That picture on the XLT Premium package has been wrong since day 1. Premium pack gives you the 4.2" display (which is nice enough).

I will say, XLT Premium pack on the F-150 gives you dual 10-way power seats and heated seats. On the XLT Super Duty w/ the same pack, you only get one powered seat along with the heaters.

Incidentally, the XLT seat heaters are infinitely better than the heated / cooled option on the Lariat + trucks.

I know we are getting away from the topic at hand, but damn those seats get toasty. Normally, I leave my seats on high (in other vehicles) because I like the heat. In the SD, I find myself having to turn them down a notch or two.

No, there is definitely a larger configurable display available in the gage cluster. I test drove a truck with one and assumed that would be on the truck I purchased.

This screen is standard on Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum:
It also was previously available on XLT trucks if the optional Driver Assistance package was ordered. However, it can no longer be had on an XLT for a little while now.

This is the 4.2" LCD display standard on XLT trucks:

And finally, here is the 2.3" monochrome display which is standard on XL trucks:
