I've got just about 5k on my F350 CC LB SRW. Like others said, the sound of the 6.2 is great! As far as power, I haven't towed anything yet, but I don't see that there would be any problem. I traded my '96 F250 supercab 7.3 powerstroke for this truck. I looked at the specs and the 6.2 pretty much had the same torque and more HP. I was happy with my 7.3, so I figured the 6.2 would be great. And, as mentioned the $8-10k price difference isn't pocket change. I'm very happy with the truck. Also, I like that I don't have to hunt for the diesel pumps when I get to a gas station and wait for the guy in the Yugo to get out of the way... My overall average is just over 12 MPG. On trips I get about 14. Not as good as I thought, but then I didn't get this for the mileage...
What gears do you have and what tire size. Also with this type of mpg what speeds are you running?
I have been happy with my 6.2/4:30 setup. 11.5 MPG empty, 5-9 mpg towing, depending on what I haul. Mostly haule between 7000 and 20,000 lbs. No issues keeping up with traffic on the interstate, BUT it is largely flat around here. Hoping some good mobile 1 synthetic oil, and a tune from Mike at 5 star will maybe get me another .5-1 mpg as the truck continues to break in and "learn" my style. 1400 miles and counting.... My v10 had more grunt and pulled a heavier trailer with less effort, but the truck itself was about 3000 lbs less and was a 2wd. I am very curious to see what Ford does with the 5.0 ecoboost. If they put it in a superduty, I will probably trade this one it. I like the truck a lot, but could use some more oomph... I just refuse to play the diesel games of today, so it is what it is. On the rare occasions I need to tow close to 30k lbs, I will just drive slower then the big boys.

I've got 3.73's with 275/65R18's. I want to put some 35 inch BFG AT's on it though. I'm not sure how that will effect my mileage. The 12 MPG overall is for the whole, almost 5k miles, I have on the truck. I drive it to work almost everyday. It's only 12 miles round trip and the speed limit varies between 25 and 40 mph, with 5 or so stop lights/signs. I also do a lot city/highway mixed driving. The wife always wants to go places in the truck instead of her car... I've made 2 or 3 round trips to Coeur d' Alene, ID as well. That's where I'm getting about 14 MPG. The speed limit is 70 on that trip and I usually do about 74. The milage would probably be a little better if I didn't have to go over a pass on the way there and back. I love this truck on those road trips! I'm very happy with this truck.
