Any wheel from a '99 through '04 Super Duty pickup truck will fit the Ex correctly, choices include steel in both painted and chrome as well as several styles of aluminum. Super Duty wheels from '05 and later have a different geometry to them than our earlier wheels and will need spacer/adapters to make them fit correctly. Depending on circumstances those spacers can be more expensive than the new wheels.
Those are nice tires.
Just a BTW, since my EX is a 2wd, I am not using the A/T Michelins. I'm using the M/S with a less aggressive tread than A/T.
A lot of people have great things to say about the MS/2 but I had nothing but problems with them. I had them on for 2 years and had 8 flats where the tire needed to be replaced. The AT/2 that were on it I used for 3 years without issue. I'm back to the AT/2 now it's been 6 months with no issues yet hopefully it continues.
I couldn't find the tire and rims I'm looking for so I opted to buy an inexpensive set of tires that were in very good shape but have steel rims with snap on chrome simulator covers. They look good but am having a problem getting the center caps on.
The covers have to snug up to the lip on the wheel lug for the cap to clip on but these due to having the snap on wheel cover they don't reach the lip on the lug.
It seems to need about a 1/4" washer between the hub and lug to bring the lug out so the cap can reach it. The lugs have lock groves and I'm sure the washers should have same. Wonder if anyone has heard of this and can suggest a proper fix.

Many thanks....
DO NOT put any washers between your lug nuts and the rims.
Can you post a picture that illustrates what you are dealing with? That will be the best way for all of us to see and understand what is going on. Are these steel wheels with the simulator covers from a Super Duty truck?
Please bear with me, I haven't attached photos before.
One shows the lugs with a lip around the lug close to the hub that the center clips to.
Also shows the hub cap material close to the lug preventing the cap retainer from reaching this lip.
The other shows the center installed but is unable to go on far enough to reach this lip. Holding the center can be pulled of easily. My fix was hoping to buy a spacer to bring out the lug by about 1/4 inch. The center only clips on to 4 lugs.
I'm sure I haven't explained this well but hope you see my question
That standard chromed plastic center cap should look like this inside (the one on the left, the right one is an '04 H-D cap).
These caps grab onto the lug nuts by the flats, not the inner lips if I recall correctly and they should grab all eight of the nuts not just four of them.
Sammie (Christina) runs those same chrome clad steel wheels with the standard chromed plastic center caps and apparently they stay put for her.
Thanks guys. This shows my problem well, the hubcap doesn't mount flush with the hub due to the chrome wheel cover, the grabs cant mount the lug's lip. Shows just four grabs.

Your center caps are aftermarket knock-offs with out the casting numbers.
Very interesting..........
I don't know if those are OEM or aftermarket center caps, but they are definitely different! Yours do lack the engineering/part numbers and other markings on the backside like the others show.
The only other time I have seen that type of metal clip style cap was in a writeup that Steve (sddesigns) did where he modded them to properly fit the shorter Warn locking hubs to eliminate the gap those shorter hubs give in the caps. I had contemplated modding a set for my other front axle with the Warns but I couldn't find a set of the metal clip caps, only the 8 clip plastic ones like I have. I though that maybe they were a very early design....
I'm the second owner and phoned the original owner and the wheels and hub caps are original. I'm presuming this is not a common occurrence and am going to have to find a way to space 4 of the lug nuts to accommodate the clip on the cap.
