power steering for a 4x4

What year of f-100 4x4 was first to have external, linkage type power steering? I'm wanting to add it to my 67 f-100 4x4.

73-77 F-100/150 using the Garrison type. Really they are a piece of junk with hardly any parts available. Better is a 78-79 box.

I've just torn mine off as they are very cost prohibitve to keep going. Just the passenger Tie Rod alone is over $400 if you can find it. The Rebuilt ram I believe was about another $400 and then another $400 for the valve. I have someone who's going to rework a 78/79 Steering box and is going to take in my old leaky ram and valve for the core charge otherwise I'd happily send it your way. The Steering box is going to run only $280+$150 core through Blue Top Steering in South Dakota and an entirely brand new 78/79 linkage setup is only $220-280 through www.wildhorses4x4.com
