I'm looking to get an '04 F350 6.0L PSD, SWB, LB, CC, w/ the FX4 package and my question is this: Does anybody know what the maximum tire size is (with no rubbing during regular driving) before an additional lift is required?
I'm leaning towards a set of 35x12.50's but don't know if the FX4 lift will be sufficient for the larger than stock tires.
FX4 is not a lift. It just some stickers, skidplates, ranchos. Some have fit 315's or 35's but most tire manufactures say that you need a 16x8 or 16x10 wheel which stock we have 16x7, so you may get funny wear. If you don't want to lift and want to keep stock wheels I would go with 285 or 295's. Check the FAQ at the top of this page.
Uhm, which FAQ is that? (I don't see one on this page)
Ok, granted the FX4 is not a lift in itself...the Rancho's that it comes with provide the rise. I'm just curious to see if 35x12.50's w/ 16x10's would require an additional lift beyond what comes as stock.
Most likely it would need a lift to fit that size tire. When I put my 315's on they rubbed the inner fender wells pretty hard. Although I have herd of people with the snowplow package getting them to fit with minimal rubbing.
