All I can say is what a woman I've got. First, I really appreciate all the info on this board - good and bad reports on the new PSD have been enlightening to say the least. I've driven no less than 6 new SD 6.0s on dealers lots and decided last week to take the plunge. Having been married many years, I know things are a lot easier when I get the wife involved in the final decision - she's smarter than me and I know it - so who is really smarter?

Anyway, I took her over to the dealer and asked her to test drive a few SDs with me. We drove an ext cab V10 and she said: "didn't you really want a diesel? Real big trucks have diesels don't they?" Yeah, I said but, it's a lot more money. Wife: "well you need to get an engine that will hold up, right? You're so right dear.

Then we drove a S-crew 6.0 and she says: "this is much better, more room and I like the feel of a diesel, it even sounds powerful; let's get one of these but, I really like black and I've got to have a moon roof, leather, and heated seats, OK?" Yeah baby, you're right, of course.

So, asserting myself as the "boss", I told the dealer that I want delivery the first week of December and the rest, as they say, is history. MSRP of $45,895 plus tax and including marital harmony at n/c - who could ask for more? A discount of course. The better half is eligible for the X plan. What a woman. It reminds me of the joke where a personal ad says: wanted, a woman, under 40, with a bass boat, please send picture of boat.

As soon as I get it, Im hanging a ring of garlic from the year view mirror and throw some chicken bones under the hood and maybe, just maybe, I'll have no problems.

Yeah but, she's not near as "smart" or as nice looking. Four kids, divorced twice and just plain mean. But she could get you a better deal with the A plan. Want her number?
