The Autozone "loan a tool" double flare kit should be fine. Also free (with deposit returned).

It is illegal to use the brass compression fittings here in Vermont as of a few years ago. Only because the illustrious lawmakers decided to pass but another law against something,anything;it makes you think whether the brass fittings were really a great thing. gary
