New Vehcile Warranty or Lemon Ford
I figured I should share my story. Not sure if anyone will see this but worth sharing as I am learning a lot.
My brand new truck came with 6 major defects from the factory. Bad breaks, bad paint, bad electrical (camera, center console, issues locking, and unlocking), faulty tail gate step.
Under USA law once a vehicle has been in the shop three times for the same issue it is defined as a lemon. Canada had no such law of course.
I was informed by Ford Canada that according to warranty terms one agrees to when purchasing a vehicle; Ford has the right and obligation to repair the problem. There is no time limit or stipulation on how many attempts. I am going on 7 weeks of the 16 I have owned the vehcile it has been in their possession with no end is sight.
Ford Canada does offer a trade assist program is which they will help people with trading back defective vehicles IF they exhaust all repair options. This is a key point as it can take months and months. They will not give time lines. They will also not divulge what these repair options are. There is a list just its compnsidered company perprititory.
So long story short I am ranting and this has taken a lot of time. What I have learned is:
1) Ford does not care about customers.
2) Ford or possibly other manufactures can use warranty as an excuse to "repair" a lemon for a new indefinite time frame with no penalties or repercussions.
This only effects Canadian's as USA has laws. Canada has excuses.

I work in the industry you are ranting about. Unfortunately issues do occur, that is why there is a warranty attached to a vehicle. For the millions of vehicles on the road, and how many moving parts are present, there are very minimal issues. I know in my shop, I would put priority on a vehicle such as yours and get it resolved. Unfortunately if it is a difficult issue to figure out, many steps need taken, such as contacting customer support and field service advisors. It a rarely comes down to such a scenario. You were most likely given a loaner vehicle and not left stranded. I know it may be frustrating. I cannot speak to what was done or how it has been handled, but no one wants an unhappy customer, so that surely is not planned. Bad brakes? A slight pulsation maybe from sitting through winter and having surface rust would be the only thing I have ever witnessed. The other issues seem to stem to an electrical concern, which may be tough to track, but I am sure it will get resolved. Also, it looks like you are in Alberta, way different market than Ontario and shops are overwhelmed. Hope your issue has been resolved.
Had to take ford to camvamp!

We had to take ford Canada to camp vamp! After spending 250g’s at our dealership we decided to get a new truck we normally buy a new truck every other year! But this 2019 has been a disaster no dealership support actually the dealership I spent nearly a quarter of a million dollars at in the last 3 years tried to have me trespassed off their property. Due to a bad chrome plating job that was done on our rear bumper! Our rear bumper started to rust in the first month of ownership! Ford refused to replace it under warranty I was shocked as the truck was brand new at that point. Ford wanted me to purchase the new bumper and send them the old one then maybe they will replace it. Yeah no! Fighting police calls me getting mad and parking right in from of their dealership the a big sign on the side of my truck stating “ the bumper to bumper warranty doesn’t cover the bumpers brand new and rusting ” camvamp for my bumper replaced and I could believe that ford sent an attorney to fight with me! I had the truck there and said you can come see it for yourself so the magistrate did and I got my bumper ford for the last ford I will ever own!
