Would like to get my drive shaft rebuilt.
2008 Ford F-350 gas. I went under and sprayed the bolts in preparation to take it out Does this have a slip yoke or no ? Seems no cause I located four bolts for the retainer at the rear diff and four at the t case
Make sure you park the truck on flat ground and block the tires once you remove the drive shaft the truck will be able to to roll. There are several post on here of people removing there drive shaft and being run over of dragged by their truck down the driveway. The slip yoke is in between the flanges covered by a rubber boot if you have one and likely do.
Before I yank this, do I need to mark the driveshaft and where it connects ?
Thanks
Matt
Yes, since it could go back in 180* off and balance is critical.
Your truck needs a yoke to be able to flex in and out as the suspension moves, regardless of it mounting to a flange.
