should i redo that template or will that work how it is?

has anyone ever port matched their intake/throttle body?

I am needing to open up the Tb port on the intake. That 61mm is huge.

You should open up the intake to match the throttle body. What engine is this?

Personally I am not aware the throttle body is a bottleneck on a stock or mild build 5L or 5.8L engine.

What is the scope of this project?

It's a 7.5L.

I had my Edelbrock upper port matched to the 61mm throttle body. It came with a larger gasket so that is what I gave the shop to use as a template. On a stock-ish engine the OEM or 56mm is more than enough.
