I do not know how snow would be a problem with a hood deflector. My 08 had one and never a problem. The odd time a hot hood would melt falling snow down and I would get a bit of ice build up behind it but it basically slide off after the fact.

I am sure a black hoe would look lovely on the hood of your truck. The black rock guard on rocker panels and flares added to the truck most people think they are stock.

I a man guessing given the profile it is not really a bug guard rather a rock guard? I don't think it would change the air flow enough to redirect the bugs.

I agree. Also being so tight to the hood I'm wondering how much debris wil be getting caught there!!!!! Just my humble opinion. I was going to order this but I'd like to have one actually deflects some bugs and rocks rather than just protect the front of my hood and look cool.

Anyone have a picture of the Chrome OEM Super Duty Hood protector on a dark truck? Is it too much??

Can you even get the chrome one? I picked up my truck at the beginning of November and tried to get the chrome deflector. No stock in Canada, only one in stock at a dealer in Nebraska at that time. Anyone know if they're even available now?

Ya, I ordered it from my dealer using the Ford Accesories part number. Came up empty. Maybe it's available now. I tried to get it back in early November when these trucks were still pretty scarce.
