I'm looking to get some help on an issue I've tried to look for on here and on google. My 2006 AWD v6 Mountaineer blower motor had issues starting up and the only way for it to start is if I tapped the wires under the glovebox and then it would kick on but very little air would be coming out.I replaced the blower motor resistor thinking it would be the issue but it only fixed the speed issue and now blows strong but I still have to tap the wires for it to kick on. Could it be the actual motor itself or could it be just a loose wire? It only gives me problems right now cause the temps have been dropping into the negatives.
If you have to fiddle with the wires to get it to start, then there's probably an intermittent or loose connection in there. If you had to tap the motor itself, that would indicate a motor with worn out brushes.
Thanks for responding back projectSHO89. I will run through the wires and make sure the connnections are tight and aren't loose and hopefully that will solve this issue.
