For the life of me, I can't figure out why someone hasn't repoped those inner corners. If you have to replace the outers, there a 95% chance you'll have to do the inner ones. I got lucky, a buddy from Oregon sent me two corners he cut off of a decent truck. I got my corners from DC. I wasn't all that impressed, the contours of the body didn't match up very well.

Seems to me that the inners would be real easy to make. (Well not real easy lol). You need to take the outer corners off to get to them. No body lines have to be followed. On the outer panels I need to match up the bottom of the door contour and on the back of the cab the contour line as well. My daughter just let me know I got a package waiting for me. Looks like my cab corners have arrived. The suspense is killing me. Hope the are all good.

I don't think DC makes the parts. They buy cheap and sell high. If you were to start making them and wanted them to retail for you I bet they would.

So I've been thinking about the inner cab corners. I am going to look into a 2nd pair of cheap cab corners and flop them right for left and backwards to see if it is a fit. It will be less work than making them from scratch. Plus it will give me a comparison between cheap and more spendy body panels.

Good idea Brian. On the DC parts, they are made in North Carolina right at their facility. A few years ago my wife and I went the NASCAR race and just up the road is Dennis Carpenter. Great group of people awesome display of parts and a big place! We did get to see some of the presses in action making parts.

So A little more progress. I decided to get to cleaning on the frame as I haven't got my new inner cab corners yet. I cleaned the frame from the back of the cab to the front. I used mineral spirit on the greasy spots first then carb cleaner then a wash with enamel reducer. Next was the wire brush treatment to another rinse of enamel reducer and a good coating of OSPHO. The spring towers I didn't do yet. When I pull the springs and twin I-beams then they will get the treatment. After all that I decided to start the removal of the passenger side rear cab corner and inner panel. I discovered a little more carnage. Shouldn't be too bad of a fix.
I located 4 VIN tags on my truck. The frame has it to the front of the passenger spring tower also under the passenger on the frame on the driver door jab and a hard tag on the drivers door. They all agree.
Here is the rear cab corner and the offending carnage.
A little template is key.

Thanks Pat, I did sweat a little getting it clean. I didn't take a picture after I OSPHOed. Looks like I will get a little time tomorrow as the next noreaster coming in and work decided to be closed, and by the way my 2nd cab corners arrived. Big difference in the quality. I will post up some photo's later.
