With a little luck I will have a 78-f150 donor truck. I-beams, power disk brakes, extra rear end power steering box. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Donor truck was a bust. Never even got a chance to check it out. By the time I got home Saturday it was listed as sold. I think he change his mind. Kinda pissed me off but what can you do.

Got some more done on Sunday. I worked the inner panel and got the outer cab corner cut to size. I need to spend some more hammer and dolly time smoothing out the inner.

Not to bad of a fit. The inner panel will need a trim at the bottom. So far so good.

Man nice work. That looks so good! Keep an eye open, I have a feeling you will find another donor.

Brian, one tip when you weld the corners on. Have the doors on the cab, to make sure the body lines match up! I made the mistake of NOT doing this, and one side is a little out of alignment with the doors, so, I'll have to do a little cutting and moving things around!

Edit: Just saw that this corner doesn't go all the way to the door, nevermind!

Booth inner corer made and welded in. Also the outer cab corners fitted. Was a good weekend.

I first thought this was seam sealer. Turns out its oil impregnated dirt. Must be a new form of rust proofing. LOL

I didn't make any cuts on this panel like I did on the other side.

Wow, that inner came out great! I wish I hadn't had to cut all the way around like you didn't have to, my corner was roached all the way around.

Thanks Pat. I figured that I would only remove enough to be able to do the inner panel. I took the opportunity to OSPHO the inside of the cab corner while it was all opened up. Access is much better with it open.

I was wondering if you were going to throw something in there. That was the nice thing about taking the whole corner off, was coating all of it in POR-15.

I spent some time this weekend trying to get the cab corners buttoned up. Driver side is real close. Still some grinding to do. The passenger side is not as far along but it too is close. I am trying to justify the purchase of a spot welder. I am almost convinced. Who am I kidding, as soon as I can get to the store I'm getting one. An inexpensive one through Harbor Freight.

On to some photos. Driver sided inner panel seam sealed and prepped for spot welding.

Passenger side seam sealed.

Both outer cab corners were prepped after a long period of adjustments. Trying to get them to fit as nice as possible.

This will need a little more clean up before I'm ready.

My gran-kids showed up on Easter so my weld clean up got put on hold. Happy Easter everyone.
