I have a 2001 F-150 4X4 4.2L. I had gotten off the freeway, parked in a garage, then tried starting it only a couple minutes later. It would turn over but it wouldn't start. I tried it a couple of times and the engine would shake and not start. I left it for a couple hours and when I came back it started just fine. Runs perfect and haven't had any other issues/leaks/weird noises with it before or after this instance. Is this something I should be worried about in the future?

How many miles are on this?
What maintenance has been done within the last couple years? Is the Check Engine Light (CEL) on ?
A place to start is to check , maybe replace, the relays for the of the fuel pump and the ignition.
It has 149000 miles, had regular maintenance but nothing had been replaced over the last two years. The check engine light has not come on at all. Haven't checked the fuel pump yet
shut off the radio and fan, then listen....
Can you hear the fuel pump energize as you turn the Key to the ON position, (not all the way over to start)?? It should go for only 2-4 sec and stop
