CEL and P2285
Wife just pulled in said your trucks running rough
Right out the gate went out Checked ICPV its at 0 KOEO
Noticed a CEL P2285
ICPV seams to be Jumping all around at Idle
it stutters and smooth's out some I believe its going into default mode
its acting different then last time the ICP went south thinking a wire is shorted or that's my guess
is it just me or do Vehicles seem to break down more when its Cold

Cold brings out the worst in everything BLADE, but look at the bright side.
Your truck won't be going to the dealer to get fixed

How old is this sensor Benny? I was hoping that they were being made a little better as compared to the "early days".

Sensor was an International dealer
My records
6/13/2012 was Install date
and went almost 53K miles
so about 5 years old
I think it did Great compared to some guys I hear that are replacing approx. 1 per year give or take

Thanks Benny.
One reason I am interested is that I am running an 03 sensor in my 06 truck.

I see
have you noticed a pattern of Later sensor with faster fail rate
and I corrected the date It was replaced in June not April of 2012

No, actually people were using the later model sensors in the early engines to improve reliability (not sure how successful that was or wasn't).
I wanted to use the early sensor in my engine to add a little power - due to the sensors "low end" calibration curve (voltage output at a given pressure). In all actuality I haven't noticed any difference though.
I am hoping that the sensor does not fail too soon. I guess I am either counting on design improvements in it (vs the early years) or that the location on the valve cover is less stressful (less heat).

Interesting , wondering if International has a turn over rate on 6.0 parts like ford dealer would have, or a box of old sensors stored to get rid of , they say new but new 12 years ago
, I have the late built 04 I'd have to look at the service records but I think mine was fubar back in 06 on a warrantee .
