Could it be that the driver side isn't completely caught and all the way back? The passenger side drops easily for jack access but the driver side also can go down. The release is just harder to get to. Perhaps the seat isn't completely seated into the catch?
I think the armrest insert in the middle seat is still a little to stiff and new KR leather to fit all the way back. I would open up and make sure no obstructions, mines a tight fit too on the Lariat ultimate. Above got it on the seat itself, not snapped all the way back on the latch. Again, new upholstery and well stuffed probably. Or someone had it open showing it and didn't know how to close properly. Again, make sure nothing in there blocking the latches or to think for the very thin space back there.

was looking for the latch to release it but cant find it.....found on top of the seat a pull but cant pull it up.....can you tell me where the release latch is.....thanks
