Sounds to me like it's time to get that battery checked, as well as the charging system of the truck. Good time to inspect the battery cable, and ends. Nice, clean, no corrosion, and tight.

Is it cranking slow? or it doesnt start well first thing? if your truck has the original battery, its going to be pretty old.

THAT, sucks. Did they at least hook up cables and try to jump start it? I've had newer batteries, develop a short and peter out.
I hope it's nothing major.
