Jer - Looks GREAT! I love the way the wheel centers match the gray of the truck. And I'll bet the dynamat brought the noise level down and the quiet level up so you can hear the Sony speakers.

Gary..The dynamat in the doors made a world of difference. I almost HATE to mention the color that my truck is SUPPOSED to be..because there are some differing thoughts. According to 1984 specs..and the paint store..it is Medium Dark Fire Red..I bought some touch-up from 2 different places..and the code on my truck came up that color. It matches.. Temp here now is 40..bit of drizzle. All the bad weather was North of us..

30 years ago I had a show '66 F100. After the paint job..Mercedes Signal Red...My buddy the pinstriper suggested yellow and blue for the colors. I thought he was nuts..but let him do it anyway. I loved it. I've had many striped since then..and currently have a yellow H3, and a yellow Mercedes 450SL..both pinstriped in red and blue..The truck was done with wider stripes, although it originally had an orange stripe . The truck has factory paint except, I think , the drivers front fender.

1986F150six and I both have trucks with that same color. The color was called Dark Canyon Red (Code 51) when Ford sold these trucks when they were new. That is confirmed by the Ford sales brochures and paint samples from the years 1984, 1985, 1986, and 1987. The other, lighter shade of red was called Bright Canyon Red (Code 2E). These two colors will match the lone red interior color for these same years, which was simply called Canyon Red.
For some reason, some Ford literature later called Code 51 Medium Fire Red. And aftermarket suppliers call this same color Medium Dark Fire Red.
I have no idea why...
