VIN assigned 2 weeks after order date

VIN assigned 2 weeks after order date
Well I guess the backlogs are starting to clear and/or Ford is getting their act together. Ordered Thursday 12/29 and Ford assigned a VIN # Thursday 1/12. Preliminary build date is week of 2/6 ( subject to change of course) from in for the dealer sent. I see the VIN # in Etis but nothing comes up in the order tracking site. How long before it appears there?

You won't see any detailed info in ETIS until after the truck is built. I've been able to track my progress at wwwqa.cotusa.ford.com

I ordered on 12/30 and got email from dealer this morning with my VIN. He did not have a window sticker or build date. My order was an F 350, KR, CC, SRW, SB, 4x4. Hopefully the build will be end of January/early February as I would like to get truck beginning of March.

After getting my VIN this morning and seeing this post I plugged in my VIN and message says "cannot find match". Does this site only work after Window sticker is produced, build date is listed or only after truck is built and shipped.

It has worked for me after getting my window sticker, I never attempted it beforehand. My window sticker took exactly a month to check me up after ordering, but I had my VIN within a few days.

Today marks 5 weeks for me as well... no news, just "order in processing." Hopefully the extra wait will result in job #2.

Once the order is picked up by Ford KTP, they will create and post the Window sticker online.
That is when it gets schedule for the truck build. A day or 2 after it is built ETIS will populate.
