Another Mirror Thread?

I am looking for:

08 style
Telescoping - manual
Folding - manual
Heated
Power adjust
Plug and play into 2000 Excursion

Just got a message back from Tony at 1AAuto that they do not have this mirror.

Anyone find a brand online that is quality and affordable?

Yeah, it does appear that they don't have those exact options available.
Here are ones that are close but no heat listed. https://www.1aauto.com/ford-mirror-p...=753851&y=2004

And then there are these for $3 more that do have heat AND the smoked marker lights. https://www.1aauto.com/ford-mirror-p...1024318&y=2004

Does having the lights make them a deal breaker?

Does your 2000 have turn signals in the mirrors or would you be okay to wire them up?

I think you can use 1AZMA00005 adapters with 1AMRP01715 mirrors.

The thing about those mirrors is they have turn signals and marker lamps. If the 2000 model didn't have that option, that might be why these don't show as compatible.

Forgive my ignorance, I'm new, but what is the difference between 07 and 08 mirrors?

You linked to the '08+ style of towing mirror, the '99/'07 style that originally came on the EX was more oval shaped vs the rectangular shape of the '08+ ones. The '08 style has larger mirrors, especially the bottom ones and that aids in keeping an eye on things when towing (and when not towing).
This is what the '99/'07 style of tow mirror looks like. https://www.1aauto.com/ford-mirror/i...1049416&y=2004

Thx for explaining. That makes sense. Like OP, My buddy and I want to upgrade to 08+ "style" mirrors, the link was for that. I installed them for my buddy on his 2000, and had to use a plug adapter to go from the 2000 round style plug for power mirror adjustments and defrost to the newer rectangular style, and also had to run power for the blinker and running light. Anyhow, to OP: what you want is available so I will pm you.

Mirror Reference:

Paddle Style / Dog Ears etc. I think this was on the 99-01 Excursion an F Series trucks.

99-07 Towing Mirrors

08 - 15 Towing Mirrors

The most current trucks have a slightly different style with the top right part of the mirror being slanted.
