9" noise
I think I wore the shiney off my ring gear. It started to sound like a school bus at 90,000 miles. I was kind of disapointed in the mileage as it's a Ford Motorsports Traction Lock. It's over at the shop for a post mortem.

What do you guys like for gear oil? I would like to use synthetic but am afraid it would leak.

Why did you post this twice?

I use syn gear oil. Never worried about the seals or anything, never had a problem.
