Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been on here. In the past two weeks I've replaced my water pump and alternator. I'm starting to try to figure out what to do for battery cables, mine need to be replaced. What do y'all recommend? I want to switch to the ones with the crimped ends, right now I have the ones that just clamp on and they're garbage.
You can get the Motorcraft new replacement from Amazon for about $105 (the Amazon link shows a pic of batteries, but it is actually for the positive cables). Motorcraft P/N is WC9316. This is the positive side only. The negative sides are another $40.
I made my own when I replaced all the cables on my truck, I went to a thicker guage on the one to my starter
I run group 31 batterys so I put Marine terminal ends on my cables. Clamped With a vice and dimpled the centers and there not going anywhere.
I looked into trying to do them myself and at the end of the days it wasn't much cheaper than buying them new from amazon unless you have the crimper tool of know someone who can do it for you.

There are other who have built their own cables for cheaper, and I'm hoping some will chime in here to help out.
Thanks For the pn, do you know if the stock cables would allow for auxiliary lighting? I have several additional lights that I'm running off of it too.
I wouldn't mind upgrading a little bit, and definitely need to be compatible with attaching wires to power other things too. Does anyone know of a good source for supplies that I could go check out and get an idea for price range?
