Part needed.

Gentlemen: Looking for a DOTZ-2A635-C.
It should be a right rear park brake cable for a 69 F-250, long wheel base with 12 X 2 1/2 inch drum brakes.

Thanks.

Figured I’d mention this as it might work for you. Take a look at Raybestos BC95143. It’s 78-1/8” long and has the angled entry into the drum. It’s correct for 76 and 77 highboy

Recently found this looking for cables for my 77 and it crossed from D6TZ-2A635-J that numberdummy got for me. Same cable for left and right. I knew the jacket was of lower quality but considering 1 NOS cable was $175 plus shipping I figured it was worth a try. So far the cheap cables lock the brakes solid. I'd prefer the metal jacket but considering the truck won't be driven daily, I am hoping it will continue to function.

I agree with this. I put a Raybestos black plastic coated cable on one of my trucks. It would not hold the parking brake on nearly as well as the original cable--it would barely hold the truck from rolling regardless of how I adjusted the cable. I think it was because of the way the rubber coated cable housing is made. It is basically a coil of wire coated in plastic. When you apply the parking brake, I think the cheap housing compresses unlike the factory original which is more ridgid. I ended up taking the new Raybestos cable off and scrapped it. I found an old used rusty original cable and soaked it in diesel fuel to loosen it up. Long story short, the originals work better and if I need to buy another cable I would buy from Inline Tube because they appear to manufacture them similar to the original cables.

I agree with JEFFFAFA entirely, but LMC has them listed on page 125. But, I'd use Inline Tube!
