Well crap..had to cancel my order of the 20inch light bar.... navydoc's lower front is different from mine, realized it this morning. From my measurements I can only fit a 12inch light bar there, roughly the size of the license plate holder... ordered the 12 inch curved totron double row light bar...
Its an XL- STX model...I got the curved one because the bumper has a curve in it also but I don't think the 12 inch light actually curves all that much.
The 2011-2016 models still had the fog light cut-outs with a plastic cover in place if the truck did not come with fogs. $150 in genuine Ford parts later, you had both fog lights and automatic headlights.
But alas, GM and Dodge gave you a solid chrome bumper if you didn't have fogs, and apparently Ford thought they needed to follow suit...
Personally, I'd get a new bumper and install the factory LED fogs. Nowhere near as bright as a light bar, but also perfectly legal. If I was a police officer, I would immediately stop and cite these folks who feel its perfectly fine to drive around at night with a light bar operating in normal traffic.
Thanks for automatically assuming im some dick **** that would just drive around trying to blind people… I had my 05 Silverado 2500 HD LT that I had for 12 years had fog lights and found them extremely useful at times.... like say I don't know maybe during foggy conditions....

I agree. In my town there is a person that always drives at night with the light bar in the bumper of sports car on. I almost end up with a migraine every time I encounter it, esp. if I have to wait at a red light across from it.

Our XLT came with regular fog lights and we are considering changing to the LED fog light available from Ford accessories. Are the LED fog lights enough of an improvement to make them worth the money?
You should posts your comments on a thread that says *******s blinding me with their light bars not on threads for people trying to figure out how to add fog lights to their truck so that they can see in foggy conditions like we have in Central Florida all the time early in the morning.
assuming you remove the lic plate holder, a 2 row 12" spot/flood led bar will mount
nicely on top of the housing's existing 2 holes
Those do look really cool!
However, if the OP needs fog lights because of fog....LED lightbars are about the worst choice you could make. They are not well focused and have no high level cut-offs to prevent the light from forming a huge white cloud of fog in front of the driver (back scatter). I do love LED lightbars, but they are not effective as fog lights.
thank you everyone for your opinions didn't mean to seem irritated but I don't like when people assume the worst of somebody without understanding they're just trying to figure out how to solve a problem, not blind people or be the irritating guy in town that blinds you every time you see him
