Heater hose part trouble

Heater hose part trouble
I had a leak on my truck from a hose that was coming out of this and it turns out it was broken. Anyone have any idea what this is? It came off a 1996 ford f 250 5.8. I have found a few online but cant find ones that for a 1996 truck the cut off year seems to be 1994? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Will a hose for a truck from a 94 work? I found a few for about 80 dollars. Is there a cheaper option or am i stuck spending that much?

I see one for a 1996 ecoline, but not a 250, looks like your part, may be interchangeable.
Dorman Heater Hose - Save on Dorman Heater Hoses!
but doesnt look like it has the threaded part for the temp sensor.'
its called a "thermostat housing"

why not try to re-thread it, or replace the broken part with a fitting , and a rubber hose?might be able to cut the broken part off, and thread the hole with a tap, and put a fitting into it, and a rubber hose on top of it with a circle clamp.
I think the ford part number is 18B402
here is one on ebay:> http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-FO...-/281559716849
$61.75.
I think you maybe able to take it to a parts store, and they might have a diagram with a "dorman part number" but I do not see any searching online from any of the parts stores, except the one off the van, which is a dorman part, for $23.
here is a diagram of it:

this is a old thread, same 5.8: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...go-postal.html
not sure if a junkyard would keep that part, but if you want a cheap one, and can find it there, I'd go.
there is a bigger diagram on this page, and they call it a "ECT housing"
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...il-cooler.html
i've seen it called a "heater tube" "heater pipe" "hot water tube" also.

That particular part is the callout "18B402" in the following diagram:
Full # by my book is a F4TZ18B402A.
It is replaced by Motorcraft # KT84, and is 78.79$ on Rockauto auto parts.
Dont waste your time using the "recycled" ones on ebay or elsewhere - get a new one that will last just as long as the original one.
