temp light

temp light
Hi all
I am relatively new to Ford and diesel engines. I am looking at a 1984 F-250 with a 6.9l.
on the test drive I noticed there are three lights towards the bottom of the dash
glow plug
water in fuel? (I think, I can't remember for sure)
temp
from the moment I started the truck that temp light was on, the truck was cold when I started it, and stayed on the hole time I drove it.
there is also a temp guage on the dash that indicated the temp was fine the whole time.
so my question? is this a problem? or a bad temp sender somewhere?

Hi,
there are two sensors for the temperature.
You'll find both on the left side (driver side). one is mounted into the cylinder head, near, where the exhaust manifold is mounted. That sensor is the unit for warning light.
The other one is near the front of the intake manifold, under your, if you have, A/C Pump. That thing is for the temp gauge.
