Just got the chance to climb all over a new 04. What a cheap lookin POS! I hope Ford is not betting the farm on the the 150 to get em outta trouble! The interior trim is horrid! No room for a tall guy.. forget it! Did I mention cheap looking? Lets hope it doesnt get recalled to death like some others. Nice looking from the outside tho!

your post is not even clear as to what 04 ford trim level you saw. Dont know what you are currently driving but there is more room in an 04 vs previous Fords. What is your yardstick for saying the new ford is "smaller". As for cheap lookin everyone has their opinion but if you read any of the reviews you will see that most of the Professional reviewers state the new interior is far superior. Anyway, enjoy your dodge or whatever you drive and we will enjoy the new 04 ford. by the way, chebbys and dodges and fords all receive their fair share of recalls. It is very premature (IMO) to speculate about any potential recalls on 04. hopefully no 04 recalls but sure, sxxx happens.

My dealer got a STX and an XLT in and I will agree with you that the interior look is substandard for a truck that has a sticker of $27,500 (STX) The lack of a tach and the seat material really detracted from an otherwise beautiful truck. I haven't seen my Lariat trim in person yet, but by looking at all the pictures it will be a night and day difference. I just think they should have at least put a tach in the STX.

Got to test drive one last night xlt extended cab with the 4.6.
Frist the out side looks really nice but the inside SUCKS.
the seats were cheep looking and the dash looks like they took it out of a tauras. The ride was great nice and smooth and steered like a champ But it lacked POWER the 4.6 just didnt have the B**** that it needs. Going to drive a lariet with the 5.4 this afternoon.
