Wow you got lucky that didn't let go at speed and eat all kinds of stuff under there. Could have been more expensive than a trans or injectors!

Sounds like it's hard to beat a factory joint.

Yeah, when I rebuilt the driveshaft last year I thought I was saving $300 by rebuilding vs buying a new one from Ford. Little did I know...

Ahhh.........Another Excursion gets Moog'd. I went through that this summer with Moog u joints. Splicer all the way,never use Moog. You were very lucky, I lost the transfer case off the trans and had to have a driveshaft made.

Yeah, I have been reading a lot of non-complimentary reviews of Moog parts over the last few months. Unfortunately my driveshaft is not rebuildable after grinding itself pretty well. But now I know for next time...which will hopefully be over 100,000 miles from now.
