Soooooooo I just changed my thermostat, drove about 500 yards down the road and the turbo wasn't coming on, realized I had left the valves to the coolant filter closed so it was probably vapor locked. Opened them up and let the air leave the system, now the turbo is spooling very fast and not giving the truck any feeling of boost, wondering if it's the EBP sensor (the female end got filled full of coolant on accident), it seems to me like the turbo is just spooling and not getting enough back pressure to apply proper boost. Anybody else run into this? It's an early build 04.
Figured it out.....my dumb *** pulled the bottom of the intake tube out of the turbo boot when I was trying to position the breather, I had a leak in my vacuum!! Bought the Injen/AMSOil Cold air intake and RiffRaff boots, wondering if anyone else is running the same system? I had a heck of a time getting it to fit it's pretty giant, and I was trying to get the angle right on the front end of it and I guess I pulled the back out of the boot.
