Dual Tank Problem
I have a 76' F150, the problems is this, when the switch is on the AUX tank it seems to draw from both tanks, but i'm not real sure if it is because the gauge for the AUX tank does not work. i'll drive it seems forever then check my main tank and it shows 1/2 to 1/4 when it was full to start with. My question is this, can this really happen? and if it is what could the problem be? or maybe might I just have a leak in the main tank? Altho I do not smell fuel.

Dual Tank Problem
Could be a bad electrical connection anywhere in the system. It only takes one wire to apply the solenoid/switch. If the voltage drops out it switches tanks until the bad connection gets jiggled enough to reconnect. Then it switches back. It only does it the one way, right? If you run it on the MAIN the AUX should stay full.

Dual Tank Problem
I had a the same thing happen. I have two factory tanks and one 4X4 aux tank. So I would use up one tank switch to another, use that one up then go the third thinking I had a full one tank left. Come to find out that it was less than 3/4 full, and one of my empty tanks had some in it. Short story long it was one of my valves that was leaking by . $40.00 fix.
