Air cleaner conversion

This was posted on a previous thread but made it much more simple . Just cut out the nine spider web supports . May drill some holes in the bottom with a uni bit .

Yes , have some more at my brothers in Wis.along with 12 More Magic Air heaters Be up there in Oct on the Great 2017 Parts Safari .
The oil soaked horse hair filament restricts the air intake quality & quantity .

Take your snippers, cut the area around the 9 contact areas ,bend back towards the center bending them out of the way . snip the 9 spider web contact supports , pull out the innards , use your die grinder w/ a 60 grit wheel to smooth off the 9 points , clean out w/ mineral spirits ,install paper filter & you are done . 1/2 hour maximum time .

Denny, did you have to put a flat plate to seal the top or does the top section seal against it?

The top seals against the filter quite firmly . When you tighten the wing nut you can feel it compress the filter a tad .Confident it will work just fine . Have 3 shows Jan 13 , 14 , & 19 .
